Itinerary description

Includes Balancing Rock just below Pyramid 1 summit you have a short side trip to Granite Arch on the way.

The Pyramid 1 trail is easy to follow with white markers regularly placed along the rocky slab sections. Expect some steep sections which are easy with good grippy shoes.

Pyramid 2 should only be done by experienced Hiker/Climbers!!

The P2 trail start by descending down the slab below Balancing Rock (Photo Opportunity).

There is no clear trail to Pyramid 2 so careful navigation is required. Expect steep smooth rocky slabs that can be a little sketchy towards the top but fine with good shoes provided you pick the right line. Confidence is important as you need to be comfortable getting back down with minimal hand and footholds.

Being my first visit to P2, I explored all around the perimeter of the summit.

After completing Pyramid 2 we bushbashed till we rejoined the tourist track back to the carpark.
