Itinerary description
Walk down the stairs of Collabassa village — don’t follow the signs for Torri Sentiero Balcone — and walk all the way down to the bridge over the Bevera. From there on follow the signs for Torri (red markers on the rocks/trees). It’s a beautiful walk with lovely views of the river and it’s fairly level, but there are a few climbing bits so one must be in good condition. Stop for a delicious lunch in Torri at Ecovillaggio Torri Superiore (call to book!) and walk down to the river from there following signs for collabassa. About ten minutes into the path you can continue on to collabassa, which is fairly easy but you can take a tougher walk up Monte Pozzo. This path is less maintained and not sign posted but follow my trail and you’ll get to the top of the mountain, offering beautiful views of Val Roya from Libre all the way down to Ventimiglia and the Mediterranean.

I walked your track clockwise, from Collabassa up to Monte Pozzo, then down to Torri Superiore (call Lucilla 327 6165272 to reserve for lunch at the EcoVillage, a wonderful place.
After lunch I headed back to Collabassa along the River, following your track again. I did not expect this final stretch to be so “adventurous” (do not do it if you suffer from vertigo), but I really enjoyed it. The Collabassa bridge and the lower part of the village were also very interesting. Do not indulge too long at the EcoVillage restaurant, or you’ll be walking back to Collabassa in the shade.
