Sixth stage of the Jerusalem Road
The stage appears absolutely flat and a priori without orientation difficulties.
We continue our way to the South along the Sea of Galilee towards Tiberias where we have visited the Church of Saint Peter and we have tried to make a tour by boat, but the current circumstances of cancellation of trips have prevented it.
Starting from Tiberias, and for several kilometers, the path runs alongside the lake. Although in most of the beaches there are signs prohibiting swimming, there are some beaches with services where it is allowed.
The next stop has been in Yardenit, a place where the baptism of Christ in Jordan is commemorated and where thousands of pilgrims dressed in white robes plunge into the waters of the Jordan.
Shortly afterwards we arrived at the kibbutz Degania, the oldest in Israel, founded in 1910, where we stayed overnight.
