Itinerary description
Unique Wellube team Hike.
Beginners grade hike.
We, a group of few WELLUBE colleagues went on an early morning hike on Ghaf Summit trail on upper segment of Jebel Jais mountain of Ras al Khaimah.
Ghaf Summit of Jebel Jais, started from View Deck Park.
The Hike starts from the "Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park" as mentioned in Google maps.
You can park the cars here for free.

There is free parking along the road.
You could also park in the Park itself by paying Aed 5.
The security may ask your details to be entered in their register for hikers.
The trail is well marked and laid, so you can take children too and hike at your own pace.
We started our walk at 4am from View Deck Park at 1250 meters elevation, and by luck we were greeted with a cooler weather, low clouds and chill breeze which felt like Air conditioning.
The Hike gets steep in the initial part itself gaining 200 meters within 750 meters of walk.
You reach the Peak of the 1st mountain where there is a UAE Flag hoisted.
Good spot for Pictures and nice view of scenery around.
The trail then proceeds towards the Zipline and further to the Ghaf summit at 1640 Mtrs elevation.
On the way, in the Left side you can view deep canyons, Wadi Ghalilah and other wadis in addition to RAK city etc.
As most of the group was hiking for the first time, we decided to have Puro 1484 restaurant at 1490 meters elevation as our summit and then we returned the same way back.
From the point that we returned back, there are various options of continuation of different grades such as
1. descend to Ghalilah dam.
2. Ascend to Ghaf summit, Zipline and Jebel Jais summit 1935 meters
3. Ascend to Zipline and then descend to Wadi Shah via Highlander 2022 trail.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience of favourable weather, Sunrise over the mountains, well marked trail, scenic terrain, great views and unforgettable memories.
