Itinerary description
Starting from Engelberg (doesn't matter where exactly), join the path on the river bank towards Einwäldi. After passing by the camping lot you will find a sign pointing to the right and uphill, at the end of the field you will find the hike path, really nice stairs, bridges and guards to look after your safety. The uphill will be rewarded as soon as you get to the highest part and you start to descend with a great view over Gerschnialp with cows and a few Alps on the way.
If you have time you can stop for a coffee at Gerschnialp or head to Untertrubsee and try the wonderful local cheese.

Did it this morning and enjoyed a lot the views and scenery of the upper section. Super hard uphill that put your legs to test but totally rewarding trail. Thanks for sharing it!
