Itinerary description
Six lakes are located in the south of Duisburg near the district Wedau: together they are called the Duisburg Six Lakes Plateau ("Sechs-Seen-Platte" in german).
The hike starts at the bus stop in Duisburg-Wedau (e.g. bus #628 from Duisburg main train station). There, you cross the bridge to the other side of the rail tracks and will see an old railway repair center on your right sight (pics 2-6; not worth a visit; access is prohibited, anyway). You walk along the lakes, in forests (sort of) and can climb the observation tower "Wolfsberg", which, along with the Kaiserberg, is the highest accessible point in Duisburg. The tour ends at the rail station "Duisburg-Großenhausen" with train services back to Duisburg main train (every 30 min. or so).
