Itinerary description
This Loreley loop tour offers everything that you would expect from a trail in the Middle Rhine Valley (a UNESCO world heritage site): impressive panoramas of the river Rhine, the vastness of the high plateau and a famous poem about the rock ("Die Lorelei" by Heinrich Heine.)
The trail is not difficult with only 2 ascents, one at the beginning and another after leaving Forstbachtal, a small stream valley that flows into the Rhine, and then going up to the Loreley visitor center.
Starting/ending point is the ferry stop in St. Goarshausen (car ferry St. Goar - St. Goarshausen).

Heerlijke wandeling, eerst lekker stijgen dan beetje op en neer op het plateau, en langzaam dalen. Heel mooie bossen, gevarieerde paadjes, hier en daar niet goed onderhouden maar was dan beetje avontuur.
