Itinerary description
The Milseburgweg is a long-distance hiking trail and consists of 4 sections with a total of 75 km. It leads in a west-east direction from Fulda in eastern Hesse to Meiningen in southern Thuringia.
This A to B trail is section 1 of the Milseburgweg which leads you through the Rhön Mountains, a group of low mountains ("Mittelgebirge" in german) in central Germany, located around the border area where the states of Hesse, Bavaria and Thuringia meet. The trail is not too difficult (but also not easy).
Start of section 1 is at the main railway station in Fulda; final stop at the "Fuldaer Haus", a small Hotel including a restaurant. Book early.
Meiningen (end of section 4 of Milseburgweg) is connected by rail.
