Itinerary description
The starting and ending point of this little trail is the parking lot "Hahnenberger Straße".
The tour is easy except for the uphill part, starting 900 m after the parking lot.
Do not expect too much of a beautiful scenery: the trail mainly leads you through the "boring" and artificial looking Flamersheim forest and passes the Steinbachtalsperre (Steinbachtal dam). After a massive flood due to heavy rain in 2021, the dam threatened to burst, endangering 15000 people. Today (December 2022) the dam is empty.
