Itinerary description
Starting at the train station 'Hennef - Blankenberg', the path leads you first to the the towers and walls of the town and the castle of Blankenberg (mainly in ruins). Well signposted hike with plenty of information about the history of the town and castle. One "spectacular" view of the Siegtal valley (see pic #8). Some restaurants in the villages of Blankenberg and Stein. After a heavy rain the trail is sometimes very muddy - good shoes mandatory. At least 1 train per hour stops to/from Blankenheim (from/to Siegburg/Bonn train hub).
