Itinerary description
Anyone having a weakness for cultivated land and the smell of cow shit is invited for this roundtrip through the an area that has been used for farming and mining for many centuries. The trail leads you through forest, cultivated land, along the river Sieg and you will pass an old mine of lead ore and a castle ("Schloss Allner", closed). Highest point is "Muehlenberg" (192 m, see pic #21). Start/end is the railway station "Hennef (Sieg)" with frequent connections to Cologne etc.
Easy walk but slippery in some parts after rain.
