Itinerary description
It is actually a very beautiful route.
The first part of the route to the dam is a traverse.
If you start at 09.00 in the morning, the sun will shine on your back. And you will manage this part of the route very easily. There will be streams along the way. There are fewer and fewer of them in August, but they are there.
There is a good place behind the dam where you can relax in hammocks, and swim in the river.
The second part of the route is much harder, but also more beautiful. On the way you will meet many different kinds of rocks and mountains. Stock up on water at this part because there is less water than in the first part, but 2 kilometers before the finish you will find a bridge across the river, where you can watch the fish, as well as to swim and freshen up.
This is by far the best route for me in the GERES. I definitely recommend it.
