Itinerary description
This round hike starts from a small parking place by a beverages store and you just need to follow the indications to the "Geographic middle point in Osttirol".
The first 5 km go in a steep wide path suitable for 4x4 vehicles. Here you can find a fountain with cool water.
Now there is a junction whre this wide path continues in a very steep slope with zigzags up to the Firstkogel (2.136 m) and 100 mts later the Geographic middle point of Osttirol. Amazing 360° views with a perfect indication of all the mountains in front of us, one of them the Grossglockner's glacier.
Now we go back 300 mts to continue hhe path downwards upto the nice Grünalm and their beautiful sheeps.
2 km later you will find the Gumplalm following a narrow, lush and down-sloope path and you soon will cross the river by a wooden bridge.
From now, the hike goes by the river in a very easy path until innerbachalm, where there is another fountain, and in another 500 mts you will find the same junction that we found in the outward way. Now, the return consist in following downwards the same path upto the parking.
