Itinerary description
Went to Mt. Geirhnúkur with Hreiðar today. Not very much view due to clouds/fog, rain and snowfall. Conditions could have been better, lot of ice and new snow over it so one could not see the ice beneath. Crampoons nearly all the way. According to the locals this a very beautiful place so I guess I need to go there at summer too. To get there, one small "river" has go be crossed. During rain it can increase enormously and be uncrossable according to the locals, one should keep that in mind when going there. I categorize this as moderade for wintertime but easy during summer
