gefyra portes apo Spileo, Macedonia 20130707

Walk / hike to Gefyra Portes (bridge of the gates) from village Spileo in West Makedonia.
I had actually problem with assigning activity type to this one, I had a dilema between walk and hike. I guess could be defined as both, but finally I decided to go for "easy hike" instead of "difficult walk" for two reasons: altitude difference and stone path. But, anyway, it still can be considered "difficult walk" for more experienced travelers.

The trail starts from parking next to monastery (waypoint marking "monastery"), some 300m before the village. I made a small detour from the main square (waypoint marking "Spileo") to the view point over the village with nice panoramic view in all directions (although You cannot see the bridge itself from here).
Back to the main square and following road down to the school (about 200m) and from there left with a small, not well visible sign (there is another sign pointing right, but I guess this one is for vehicles, not pedestrians). After some200m down with local roads, signposted trail (Spileo - Trikomo) begins with a stone path (waypoint marking "Stone path"). From this point it's really impossible to loose the trails :-D Nice, well prepared stone path leads all the way down to the river and bridge with organized viewpoints and springs on the way (waypoint marking "Spring and viewpoint").
In about 1.5km, trail reaches the bridge (waypoint marking "gefyra portes"). Really amazing view! Traditional stone bridge standing just at the entrance of the river to tall gates of rocks!
Return done with exactly same path, back to monastery and a little detour with local road for some nice views (waypoint marking "bridge").
