Itinerary description
To get back to the TCT you can backtrack the 1.5 km out of the campground or you can join the Great Divide Trail further down the lake. This will take you up through the forest for 4 km to Elk Pass where you will rejoin the TCT at the beginning of the High Rockies Trail. I recommend this as it gets you off the dusty track under the power lines! It’s then a nice downhill amble to Boulton Campsite. There is a store here where you can get some junk food! The site is less than desirable if you don’t have a reservation. My site was over a km from the showers and further away from the store. There are other campsites in the area that you might want to research before your trip.
