Gaucín Town Hall Route I - Up to the top of el Hacho and return via circular route. The classic Gaucin hike with amazing views from the top.

Desde la cresta, gire a la derecha y siga el camino en ziz-zag cuesta arriba.
Turn right at the little ridge and follow the zig-zag path uphill. NOTA: Desde la cresta la ruta continúa hacia la derecha, pero puede observar a la izquierda una gran roca con una cuerda de seguridad atada. Este es el Tajo Bermejo y NO forma parte de esta ruta del ayuntamiento debido a la fuerte caída y el riesgo para los caminantes. NOTE: From the crest the route continues to the right but you may notice to the left a large rock with a safety rope attached. This is the Tajo Bermejo and is NOT part of this townhall route due to the steep drop and risk to walkers.

Since the comment in 2019 about signage, the marking of this trail has now been improved and is well-marked.

Early morning walk in June to catch the sunrise. Great walk well signposted but need to keep your eyes open along the ridge.
