Itinerary description

This is a medium length walk from Gaucin, passing through lovely countryside on good tracks and paths. Almost all the route is on driveable rural tracks (you will almost certainly not see any cars though!) with one short section on a well-defined woodland path.

This route is straightforward to navigate and is a good option for a route to do after rainy days because there are no muddy sections or streams to cross. You start by following a section of Gaucin Town Hall Route V, and finish on a section of Gaucin Town Hall Route VI. The middle section is on an easy-to-follow track.

You will follow this track for a couple of hours as it winds around the hillside and climbs at a very steady and easy gradient.

You can continue on the main track if you prefer; when you get to a junction ahead, turn sharp right and stay on the main track. You will meet the open area at the top of the short cut.
