when you come down castle path and turn left down little path go left when you reach the padlocked gate and skirt round side of finca

Very interesting! I own the first house as you come down from the castle (and the land the path goes through) and didn’t realise you could walk back down to the road. Always assumed there was a cliff edge! One to explore if we are ever able to return!

    Hi Michael
do you mean the large house on the left where the street starts and there is parking. If so the small path goes down the side between two fences to a padlocked gate . You then skirt left to pass down the left side of this finca and on down the hill where the path has recently been cleaned up by someone through an open gate and down to te track below , it may be the townhall has cleaned the path up

Hi. Yes, that house. We also own the land either side of the path as you walk down from the road. The land further down is owned by a family nearby and the mother recently died so they may have tidied it up (think they might be trying to sell!)

I think you are right . I dont know the family but it makes sense . I hope you dont mind us walking through about once a year as I have at least 50 walks around Gaucin and another 120 in the local area but I like to do town hall number 8 once in a while

Not at all. The path is a right of way and access to the next piece of land (otherwise we would have joined it all together!) I use your guide and trails a lot so thank you!

    Hi Michael
there is a new map published by the DIputacion de Mlaga shwoing rights of way and your path is on it ! called Camino de la Cueva dela murcielagos ( appears mistakenly named as the cueva is further round
