Itinerary description
A very decent loop through Garin/Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park (part of the East Bay Regional Park District). We did this hike in the middle of the day, so it was pretty hot, and the trail is almost completely exposed and dry. Still was a nice hike through rolling hills with decent views of the Bay all the way up to San Francisco and Oakland. Garin Peak (peak may be generous at only 961ft) was just a quick walk off trail through a bunch of dry scrub. Would recommend again, but might be a better winter hike when the hills are green and there area isn’t so dry and hot.
