El sendero podrá realizarse en las siguientes modalidades, algunas de las cuales permanecerán cerradas del 1 de junio al 15 de octubre debido al elevado riesgo de incendio forestal:
- Hasta el primer mirador: puede autorizarse entre los dias 16 de octubre y 31 de mayo
- Recorrido del sendero: puede autorizarse entre los días 16 de octubre y 31 de mayo.
- Recorrido del sendero + barranquismo hasta la gruta de La Ermita: puede autorizarse entre los dias 16 de octubre y 31 de mayo.
- Recorrido completo incluido el descenso del barranco: puede autorizarse todo el año.
Se prohíbe acceder a este sendero con animales de compañía, por encontrarse en el área de reserva.
Te recordamos que estás transitando por un sendero cuyo recorrido presenta riesgos diversos relacionados con el normal desarrollo de los procesos naturales y la climatología. Es por ello que pueden producirse accidentes fortuitos ligados a desprendimientos de piedras, caída de árboles o sus ramas, gravilla, suelos húmedos y/o resbaladizos, etc...Por favor, ten precaución y presta atención durante todo el trazado.
Tu seguridad es nuestra preocupación, pero la evaluación de tu condición física, tus actos y la preparación previa para la realización de este sendero son tu responsabilidad.
ADVERTENCIA
Existe la posibilidad de realizar la actividad de barranquismo desde el final del sendero de la Garganta Verde hasta la gruta de la Ermita.
Dicha actividad consiste en el descenso de aproximadamente 300 metros de barranco, distancia existente entre el final del sendero hasta la ermita, y para ello es necesario obtener la autorización de barranquismo, así como disponer de conocimiento y equipo especializado, advirtiéndose de que su práctica puede albergar riesgos para la seguridad.
La Garganta verde está considerada como uno de los paisajes más emblemáticos de la Sierra de Cádiz. El sendero que discurre por este cañón, resultado del proceso erosivo que durante milenios ha ejercido el Arroyo Bocaleones, nos permite sumergirnos en un paisaje que mezcla excepcionales cortados, con una exuberante vegetación mediterránea.
Este cañón acoge una de las colonias de buitres leonados más numerosa de Europa. Estos carroñeros llegan a medir unos dos metros y medio de envergadura y un metro de altura. Su vuelo resulta majestuoso, aprovechando las corrientes de aire ascendentes para elevarse describiendo círculos y manteniendo luego una trayectoria lineal. A veces, vuelan tan bajo que, si vamos en silencio, podemos incluso escuchar el tenue ruido que hacen sus alas al friccionar con el aire.
El sendero de la Garganta Verde nos permite acceder hasta el lecho del arroyo por un acusado descenso sobre el que planearán los buitres que, desde sus nidos en pequeñas plataformas en las verticales paredes del cañón, se lanzan dibujando círculos en el aire.

PLANIFICA, EQUIPA, ACTÚA
PLANIFICA la actividad:
-Escoge la actividad adecuada a la experiencia del grupo
-Calcula el horario previsto, distancias y desniveles que debes superar
-Consulta la previsión meteorológica (AEMET).
-Prepara un plan alternativo por si tienes que acortar la actividad
-Avisa adónde vas y el horario en el que tienes previsto regresar
-No hacer senderismo solo, "2 es 1, 1 es 0". Es más seguro ir con una guía de senderismo, obtener más información y aprender, y los excursionistas están asegurados y, por lo demás, es más seguro.1
EQUIPA tu mochila:
-Calzado propia, de senderismo/ trailrun,
-bastones de trekking.
-Una mochila de senderismo.
-Ropa adaptada al tiempo.
-Elementos para protegerte del sol: gafas de sol, gorra, y protector solar.
-Agua. Sistema de hidratación y abastecimiento de comida.
-Móvil, con cargador “power bank”, GPS, mapa.
-Linterna o frontal.
-Botiquín (EA) con manta térmica, silbato.
ACTÚA con prudencia:
-Inicia la actividad a una hora prudente
-Valora de forma constante que el resto del grupo está disfrutando
-No te separes de tus compañeros, ni dejes a nadie solo
-Si es necesario, ten en cuenta las alternativas más cortas o darte la vuelta y volver otro día
-Bebe y como adecuadamente, protégete del sol
-Utiliza los mapas para guiarte y tú previsión de horario para asegurarte de que vas sobre lo previsto
-Comprueba que meteorológica no supone un riesgo.

Mirador de Garganta Verde
Info de Buitre Leonado (Gyps fulvus). P.N Grazalema there are approximately 290 pair. Mythology: It was a very important animal in the Celtiberian culture. The corpses of the fallen in combat were left for their food (so the soul of the warrior went before the gods of heaven). It is quite common to associate it with the solar deity "Lug". The griffon vulture is a gliding rather than a flying bird, as it hardly moves its wings in the air, hovering in high currents during the hottest hours of the day. It prefers to rise on updrafts that correspond to aerological phenomena. such as thermal convective, dynamic or thermodynamic lift, the convergence of breezes, the restitution, the mountain wave or the wedges of cold air of a meteorological nature that raise large masses of hot air, spending hours flying between heights of 1800 to 3500 meters above sea level, although on exceptional days they can reach 6000 meters above sea level and traveling from 50 kilometers to 300 kilometers depending on the convective potential of the day, in search of dead animals (especially large mammals) on which to feed . When gliding, it tends to keep the wings slightly above level and the planes of lift somewhat cambered. The areas inhabited by griffon vultures are usually mountainous, although on the plain any vertical or overhanging cliff of more than 50 meters and inaccessible serves as a vulture or resting place. In mountainous areas cut by deep valleys, where ascending and anabatic breezes are produced, caused by the heating of the slopes facing the sun. When the day is warm, at dawn they are usually seen on the edges of the cliffs and ravines facing northeast-east, waiting for the necessary heat to gain enough height to cross the ridges and summits. Spectacular pink and green textures and colors that stain its walls, caused by some algae that proliferates on its rock. The drops of water that fall from the roof of the enormous vault, build's the stalactites and stalagmites. When a drop falls, it leaves behind it a fine trail of calcite, on which the trail of the next is deposited, in a delicate and very slow process.

Cueva Ermita de La Garganta Verde
Se ruega silencio! La Garganta Verde is a spectacular canyon formed by the erosion of the Bocaleones stream over miljons of years. The subterranean current under its bed built this grotto, but the erosion of the stream itself brought it closer to the surface. Finally, the upper part of the gallery collapsed and both streams of water joined. Spectacular pink and green textures and colors that stain its walls, caused by some algae that proliferates on its rock.
