A nice walk through the surroundings of Gaiole, vineyards included. We have done the route counterclokwise and think this is slightly more convenient than walking clockwise. Walking shoes are advised (we did the track on normal shoes) since there is quite some elevation over gravel tracks.

Beau paysages toscans. Cyprès, vignes et forêts.
We did this loop counter clockwise. After the small town of Vertine, you will pass a villa. The route will guide you around the villa. After that, entering the more open field again, the access to that part was blocked by a gate, which we could not open. There is an alternative “route” through the forest/bushes, which we found unattractive and we returned. Perhaps the owner of the vineyard had restricted the access…
