Itinerary description
This is a beautiful hike very well suited for a full moon night situated in the far south-western corner of the Ramon crater. The hike begins at the mt. Ramon parking lot, note that the road leading to this parking lot from Road 171 is unpaved and might be impassable for low riding vehicles (although there is no need for 4x4, Mazda3 passed there without problems).
The trail first goes to the top mt. Ramon (the highest point of the Negev) and then around the tip of the crater towards mt. Ido. There the trails descends to the crater itself, goes towards Prisms Canyon and back up to the crater's ridge.
The optimal timing would be to finish the climb to the ridge on sunrise. From this point there are 4-5 km back to the parking.
