Itinerary description
We started in Fryesrtown, parked in the Mechanics institute car park, lots of room. The trail is mostly Goldfields track and is well sign posted.
We were going to do and to and back but decided to do a little variation by taking the New Years Flat track to make a circuit, the only draw back was that we had to walk along side of the bitumen for about 100 metres.
Some interesting ruins of the Nuggetty hill brewery from the gold fields era.
The walk is a bit rough in places so good footwear is essential, there also many old mine shafts so take care
Overall an easy to moderate walk
