Itinerary description
This is a superb walk in the Dolomites. The whole walk is on marked paths, so it's easy to follow.
If you want to do this trip, keep these things in mind:
- the last part of the climb to the Sasshonger is a climb aided by steel cables (no via ferrata needed, but some stability and able to climb up on 4)
- you pass a couple of very deep/steep cliffs, so no fear of height
- in summer season you can use the elevator near the start to get a free 400m up :-)
- when going early in the season there can be a lot of snow on some parts of this route, some 'free form'- navigation is needed then. Have a GPS with a map at hand, you CAN GET LOST over there
Other then that it's a marvelous and very divers walk across barren highlands, forests, slopes, some waterfalls and A LOT of ASTONISHING VIEWS.
There are some rarely visited geocaches on/near this track.
