Itinerary description
This hike starts on Borovets, next to the cable car station. It goes up into the forest, the hike is easy but steep. It reaches the refuge and the lakes, views are amazingly beautiful. Then it goes up to the Musala peak, skipping the crowds, climbing into the rocks. The way down it goes out of the regular path and next to the border of the cliffs from where it's possible to admire the lakes and the refuge from the top. The path is not very clear so I recommend to always keep your GPS with you, it's also not super easy and the rocks here are very sharp so I recommend a good pair of hiking boots.
It ends on the cable car station, there's no need to buy a ticket to use the gondola on your way down.
