Itinerary description

A beatiful hike which will lead you from Borgo Lizori (Castello di Pissignano) through little paths amidst olive trees and forests to Campello Alto and then down to the Spoleto valley. The views are simply breathtaking. There is a possible digression to Poreta (recommended, follow road signs, you can also have lunch there). From down the valley, you can either climb your way back following the path as indicated and enjoy your award dinner directly at the restaurant in Borgo Lizori or, as a comfortable shortcut, continue through La Bianca back to Pissignano (through asphalt road, but nice, large, olive trees and views around and very little traffic). In Pissignano, you can visit the Clitumno springs and the Roman temple, enjoy ice cream perhaps, and get back home along " via George Byron".This hike is doable all year 'round, in April-May you will find wild asparagus along your path, in the summer it is full of delicious blackberries :)
