Itinerary description
Second time I deviate from standard El Fuerte route and instead go the more complicated trail below Lomas del Fuerte toward Cerro de los Monederos. It is not an obvious route and it is partly steep and exposed. This time it was marked up with blue/yellow dots that gave better guidance compared to before but thing is you dont know how long they will last. Anyhow it is a fantastic alternative to the "standard" El Fuerte. I recommend you go with a gps and you should not suffer too much from vertigo.
