Itinerary description
I was following a Carlos Todoterranos trail but I had to make changes. On the Hugeron, the trail veers to the right, up into the bushes. I tried but couldn’t find the trail. I headed back to the river, making my own trail falling the last few feet. Back on the river, I followed it until the route veered to the right, up the stairs of the acequia. I followed the stairs, then they got flat, leading to a cistern. From here the trail is mostly do it yourself following the general direction up to the high acequia. It is mostly bushwhacking with a trail here and there. Eventually you arrive at a spot to hop up onto the nice flat acequia. It is gorgeous up there. Follow it back, the rest is easy! Bueno suerte!
