Fossil Rock (Jabel Maleiha)
We parked our cars and started our hike from 25.167479,55.841464 ( recording started little late)
Since its an one way hike, we droped some cars at 25.136684,55.846793 to avoid walking all the way back
It's not the usual loop trail, We did the hike till summit via conventional trail, while coming down we descent on sand dunes and proceed walking in the desert to Sha'byat Al Khattmah Mosque area. Most fun part of this hike was navigating down in huge sand dunes, we enjoyed a lot. Make sure you cover your face, if its windy sand will hit your skin hard.
We did sunset hike starting at 4 PM, reached summit at 5.30 PM and enjoyed the sunset, started our descent via sand dunes reached our cars on other side at 7.30 PM.
Take normal precautions,loose rocks at some parts, carry min 4 lites of water, headlamp/torch.
