Visit to the Croatian fortress of Kljucica (Kljucica Fortress), which is the largest and best preserved castle in the Krka National Park, in the Sibenik region, Croatia (Nationalni Park Krka)
Built by the noble Croatian family Nelipic in the 13th century on a promontory that dominates the Cikola river canyon. The Turks conquered it in 1546 and ceased to be inhabited since the expulsion of the Turks, in 1648. It currently presents an acceptable state of conservation, although some cloths threaten ruin.
The access is not simple, since we have to look for the population of Drinovci, from where we will access by dirt roads without signaling.
Wooden platforms allow to enter the castle and look out over the rocky cliff. Good views in a solitary landscape.
The access on foot is short, but confusing and entertaining, with areas of stones, vegetation, etc. that we have to avoid.
