Itinerary description
To reach the starting point, you need to leave the city of Yanque and head through Ichupampa, Lari and Madrigal to reach Chimpa mountain starting point. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended past Ichupampa. Once you reach the mointain top where the fortress was built, you will have a magnificent view of Colca canyon as well as the valley of Colca.
