Itinerary description
If you want to see the castle of and the city of Foix from higherup this short but very steep climb is a recommendation.
The track is clear, well kept, easy, but because it is steep the going is slow,
The view from the cross is beautiful. We went up a little higher upon Saint Sauveur to enjoy the views of the surrounding countyside. The views towards the east and south east are especially beautiful.
It should be possible to walk a little further south from the top of Saint Saveur so that you get to see more of the city and the castle from this point, but we didnt do this.
We ended this walk with a visit to the castle and a short walk through the old part of the city.
