Itinerary description
Simple and spectacular circular route.
We leave the car at the Mata do Canario car park to descend in a round trip to Lago do Canario. On returning to the car park we start the ascent to the Pico das Eguas, 873 m. above sea level.
The predominant vegetation of the route is Japanese cedar, Hydrangeas, Chilean Gunara and the abundant and spongy moss typical of the island.
