Itinerary description
Official new route (2019) for the section Vila do Bispo - Sagres of the fishermen’s trail (usually corresponding to day 9).
It is a very varied and beautiful walk !
If you use this itinerary be aware that:
- The beginning (first 300 m to get out of Vila do Bispo) is a bit messy because we thought we started wrong but we did not actually so we got back on the same track (the first part of the itinerary follows the historical way so red and white marking).
-There is no marking on the rock section just before the Cabo do Sao Vincente. If you follow this itinerary you will be fine.
NB: I would recommend wearing good hiking shoes for that section in particular.
- At the end, when arriving in Sagres, we skipped a small section along the coast because it was not very clear, and walked along the road to join again the path a few hundreds meters later.
Food/drinks only the Cabo do Sao Vincente.
