O Porto de Vale dos Cavaleiros é uma das entradas da ilha do Fogo e um dos locais para se iniciar a descoberta da rede de percursos DJARFOGO TRAILS - Nha Grandeza. Este é um percurso simples e sem grande complexidade técnica. Inicia no porto e segue, inicialmente, pela estrada de alcatrão até à zona de Pedreira. De seguida, continua para norte, ao longo da estrada empedrada, acompanhando a linha de costa. Chegando a Achada Malva cruza com o percurso
FGC17, que tem origem em São Lourenço. Aqui, começa a descer para Praia Ladrão, por um caminho empedrado bastante utilizado pela população. Nesta praia existe uma nascente de água, atualmente seca, que durante bastante tempo foi utilizada para abastecer o centro histórico, a parte alta e os bairros periféricos da cidade de São Filipe.

The Port of Vale dos Cavaleiros is one of the entry points of the Fogo Island and one of the preferred places to initiate the discovery of the DJARFOGO TRAILS – Nha Grandeza. This is a simple trail without great technical complexity. It begins in the port and goes along the road up to Pedreira. It then moves north through the rocky road alongside the coastline. In Achada Malva it intercepts with FGC17, which begins in São Lourenço. From here, the trail goes downward to Ladrão Beach through a track that leads to this beach very popular among the local population. On this beach there is a water spring that is now dry but that it was used to supply the historic centre, the upper part and surround neighbourhoods of the city of São Filipe.
