Itinerary description
Eine schöne Wanderung durchs Eggegebirge.
Der Berg Velmerstot hat zwei Kuppen, die Preußische und die Lippische Velmerstot.
Leider war der Wald z. T. in keinem sehr guten Zustand, die Bäume wirkten trocken, an manchen Stellen war einiges abgeholzt worden.
Die erste Hälfte der Wanderung hatte deutlich mehr "Sehenswürdigkeiten" als die zweite. Man könnte sie sich auch eher für den Schluss aufbewahren, da sich die Steigung in Grenzen hält und man die Strecke gut in beide Richtungen gehen könnte.
Die Route beginnt an einem Wanderparkplatz an der Kirche in Feldrom. Dort befindet sich auch die Haltestelle einer Buslinie, die die Kirche mit Horn-Bad Meinberg verbindet.
A nice hike through the Egge hills. Unfortunately, the woods were not in a good shape in some places. Some of the trees were very dry, at other points many had been chopped down.
The first half of the hike has several points of interest, more than the second half. You could also do the walk the other way around, as the ascent isn't very steep.
The walk starts at a "hikers' parking space" next to the little church of Feldrom.
There's a bus stop there for a line connecting the church with Horn-Bad Meinberg.
