Itinerary description
Jabal Al Abyad, also known as Jabal al Bayd, is a mountain in the Masfout region of Ajman, United Arab Emirates near Hatta Dubai. The mountain's distinctive white rock formations give it its name, "Al Abyad" meaning "white" in Arabic.
The new Masfout Hiking Park offers clean washrooms and a rest area. The washrooms are open Friday to Sunday from 6 AM to 6 PM.
We started on the left side to avoid the intense sunlight. The well-marked trail is dotted with a few rest areas, offering stunning views throughout the hike. Be prepared for some steep ascents and descents.
Before reaching the first summit, at an elevation of 595 meters, there is a steep ascent that rewards hikers with panoramic views, including a Hatta signboard. After the first summit, there is a steep descent; if hiking with kids, take extra precautions. A hiking pole is recommended here. The second summit offers even more breathtaking vistas! After conquering the second summit, another rest area awaits.
After the rest area, we turned right to follow the return path via Al Owais Dam. As we descended, the sky erupted in a fiery display of colors. The return path was a canvas painted with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple, making the descent feel like a dream.
The Masfout Hiking Trail is a must-do! It offers stunning views, a challenging workout, and a memorable sunset, making it a moderate hike well worth the effort.
