Itinerary description
Circular walk from New Lanark, with great views of the falls of Clyde.
There is free parking at the start, follow the signs for New Lanark and the visitor centre. there is a large car park and it is very well signposted.
The initial section of the walk is very well marked and the path is very clean and clear, until you get to cross the Clyde. The West side is muddier and some sections are not well maintained (fallen trees and very muddy areas). When you cross back to the East side, the path improves again.
There is a visitor centre (coffee shop) when you get back to New Lanark.
Overall, a bit muddy but very nice views. We did this walk with a toddler on a carrier. No difficulties. Easy ascents/descents.
