Itinerary description

Starting point is just before the Falkertsee and before the Sport shop. Four large parking places nearby. And there is a bus from Bad Kleinkirchheim to Falkert See. This route is not red/white indicated but the path is rather well visible. Take a right at the fence and follow the path. When you approach a the stream, the path is somewhat less visible. It is a very pretty trip though. Follow the stream and stay on the upper side in order to keep your feet dry. At the waypoint take a right and climb up the mountain. There are many Murmeltiere (groundhog). Then follow the path up to the Steinnock. You will see the Nockenalmstrasse on your right hand site. The path goes along barbed wire and is a bit difficult. On the other side of the barbed wire is a good path. When you approach Steinnock, you can take the path to the left up to the crucifix on the summit and then go back to Falkert See via a lower path. We didn't do this, we took a left and followed the path behind the mountain leading to the Falkert. There you can go to the Falkert summit and then go down to the lake. But we took the easiest and fastest way back to Falkert See.

You can decide to go to the Falkert summit and take a smaller path downward to the Falkert see from there (more beautiful). Or take the 40 minutes broader path downwards.
