Itinerary description
Another great trail lead by the excellent guys at UAE Trekkers. This trail requires a 4x4 or similar to access the start point, or you can hike a few KM from a nearby parking spot. The trail itself starts with a steady climb to some great views across the valleys. It leads to a viewing point over Shawka dam, doubles back and then down to the valley floor. It includes an optional extra tough climb at the end. At the top you can follow the path round and rejoin the trail, reversing back to the start, or back to the start point via double back. Quite challenging but one of the best we’ve done.
