Itinerary description
Falak Sar Basecamp trek starts from Chasma Shifa, Mahodand road Matiltan Kalam. There is Jeep road from Kalam to Chasma Shifa and that jeep drop point. From Chasma Shifa walking trail starts at starting point there is replenishing point. The trails start with a lush dense forest of pine trees on the north side and on the south side there is stream and huge rock wall. You will see the Mt. Falak Sar to the east of the trail. After 45 mins trek on the trail towards Basecamp there is water drinking and water bottle refilling point. One hour and 15 mins there is first meadow name Oout Gal (water falling from a height), after crossing the meadow there is a bridge. The trail from starting point up to the bridge crossing, the trail is quick easy due to there is no such steep ascent. After the bridge there is two to three a little steep ascents there you will reach the 1st camp site Derai or waterfall camp site, so here you can stay for a night. Because the onward trail to base camp of Mt. Falak Sar is too difficult due to steep ascent. It took 4hrs or 4 hrs and 30 min to reach the base camp.

A flat area at the base camp where tents can be pitched here to stay. From base camp to Mt. Falak Sar glacier 30 min trek, where the glacier starts and real mountaineering action also starts. The place from where you rope up yourselves and adventure starts.

No, there is no restaurant on the trek to base camp, but you can stay in kalam.
