Itinerary description
It is an intermediate hike from Tato village to Fairy Meadows. It is a national park with pine forests, streams and amazing views of the Rakhiot face of the Nanga Parbat and the Rakhiot glacier.
The hike starts next to a Jeep stop in Tattu (Tato) village. The trail is clear, easy to follow, can be done by anyone with decent fitness level. We completed it within 1.5h but saw many people who spent 3h to finish.
After we reach Fairy Meadows, we hiked to the Rakhiot base camp of Nunga Parbat:

I recommend to stay in Fairy Meadows at least 2 night to experience nature there. The place is amazing.
Gear.
The gear varies significantly depending on the season and weather conditions.
My trip was in end of June with about 20C in Fairy Meadows and 30C in Gilgit. I would say must-have items are the following:
1) Proper high-cut hiking shoes
2) 2 liters of water, electrolytes, food
3) proper wind breaker, fleece
4) sunscreen cream
I would also recommend to have the following extra stuff if the weather become worse:
1) gloves
2) extra fleece and/or warm base layer
3) warm hat
How to get there.
You have to come to Raikot Bridge. You will see many Jeeps next to Shangrila Resort Hotel (35.491513, 74.591782). You should hire one of them to reach Tattu village by Fairy Meadows road. It is a dirt road which is used only by the locals and other cars are not allowed there in case if you are planning to drive there yourself. The road itself is an amazing attraction since the view is amazing, and guys drive literally on the edge. It will take about 1.5h. Jeep will stop just near the starting point of the hike. We came to Raikot Bridge from Gilgit by a minibus.
The hike was organized by AlpineTrekkers.
