Itinerary description
Hike took a bit over 8hrs, it starts in Seljavallalaug car parking, first few hundreds meter follow visible path, later you need to use GPS but it's going almost straight up. From 1200m to 1500m we walked in clouds, limited visibility. It wasn't difficult technically no any visible crevasses or tricky parts, only issue was pretty deep snow, sometimes up to knees which waste a lot of energy. From around 1500m there was an ice with 5cm layer of snow we had crampons but no one use them all the way to the top, some put them later on the way down but still with good balance you could just walk/slide down quite safely. Even though weather was calm last 200m to the top was very windy, good to have something to cover face.
