Extratour Rotes Moor (Naturpark Rhön)

La ruta sale desde un aparcamiento que hace poco se ha vuelto de pago (unos 2 Euros por día).
Luego se camina por bosque y prados con buenas vistas sobre el paisaje de la Hohe Rhön. Pasamos por campos llenos de flores (al menos en julio, cuando fuimos nosotros), por la antena del Heidelstein, pastos con vacas y, sobre todo al principio, multitud de bancos que invitan a hacer un picknick. Hacia el final de la ruta esa frecuencia se reduce a cero y tuvimos que tomar la merienda sin poder sentarnos sobre un banco. Cerca del final pasamos por el antiguo pantano Rotes Moor del que se había extraído turba durante muchos años. Subimos a la torre de observación para ver mejor su extensión y luego seguimos por caminos de madera que se han construido para no dañar el suelo del Moor y para evitar mojarnos en temporadas menos secas.
Con todo es una ruta muy variada y recomendable sin dificultades salvo que son unos 19km.

This tour starts on a parking ground that used to be free but lately they charge about 2 Euros per day.
First you walk through forest and fields where you can enjoy a great view on the Hohe Rhön. You are surrounded by fields full of flowers (depending on the season, we went in July) , pass the Heidelstein antenna , fields with cows and see a lot of banks and tables that invite you to have a picknick, at least at the beginning. Towards the second part of the route we could not find any and had to take our lunch without being able to sit on a bench. Rather at the end of the hike you cross the ancient swamp Rotes Moor. You can go up the observation tower to have a better view of the area. Afterwards we follow the wooden path on the Moor and soon return to the parking area.
It is quite a recommendable and varied hike without any difficulties except for its length.
