Itinerary description
Razlog (end of the road) - Yavorov Hut - up to the ridge from Kamenitza. From end of the road from Razlog to Yavorov hut there are 5 km and elevation gain is 550m, trail uphill to the hut is better than the one downhill as on downhill one there are few fallen trees on the path.
There are marks that make this route easy to follow.
I didn't know that Yavorov is so far from the end of the asphalt road and that there is a black dirth road (not shown on maps) that will take you to it, it is approachable by car, this took valuable time needed to get to some of the peaks I was aiming.
For me this was exploring trail on part of Pirin, regardless of horrible guide on the route, totally unprepared and unorganized, the experience with local hikers was great, they will not pass you without saying hello, and they will offer their assitance if needed.
Yavorov hut is very clean, they offer food and beverages by affordable prices, I highly recommend it.
Hiking in Bulgaria is pleasure, very hospitable people, very safe even if you decide to hike alone. No hostile dogs as you'll meet in my country and no herds met on the trail.
