Itinerary description
This walk starts in Exochori, dropping down to Kardamili on the route marked with red/white paint blazes. Much of the route follows kalderimi (stone-paved paths built for livestock), some in excellent shape and others quite rough. Kardamili's a nice place to take refreshment before beginning the long climb back up. The route passes the 17th Century Mourtzinos Tower, which has been restored and is worth a stop. It then follows the route marked with black/yellow paint blazes to Agia Sofia church, and then switches to the route marked with white-on-red crosses to Exochori. The route is not long, but I rated it difficult because of the substantial descent and ascent.
