Itinerary description
A beautiful walk with a good helping of scenery. Depending on when you do the walk will determine if you can cross the stream that leads into the dam. If this is not possible, do what we did and walk a little bit further you get to the bridge.
We did follow someone else's route, but we did it in reverse which we were glad of because there is a good up hill slog near the end of the walk and we would sooner go up it than try to walk down it, if you are less mobile. Sticks are advised.
Photos 21/23 show a narrow track which we missed and had to retrace our steps because there are three levels to walk on, you need to be on level 3 or you will not get round. Photo 24 shows an overgrown track that we had to go down to get to the track you see in the distance.
You will see that I did not manage to get back to the start, this was because we were out so long, enjoying the day and my phone died. 😊
A moderate, adventurous route, not for the faint hearted or less mobile person. There is very little shade on this walk, sun hats, cream and plenty of fluids are recommended. Enjoy
