It is time to embark on the journey and the cold of the night is still present.
Both the distance to cover, about 5 kilometers, and the difference in altitude of just over 400 meters we do in about three and a half hours along the path that runs parallel to the moraine of the glacier brings us closer to our destination.
The images of the Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Nupse, Lothse encourage us to move on through this arid boulder where we continue to find yaks grazing!
Gorakshep is a beautiful little village, uninhabited in winter, made up of half a dozen lodges built next to a large sandy area that covers an icy lake and is located at an altitude of 5,164 m.
We stayed at the Lodge Yeti Resort where we found the menu menu with the same contents we have seen so far and the twin rooms equipped in a very similar way to the rest of the lodges in the valley.
