From Lobuche with an easy two-hour walk we reached the 5100 meters of Gorak Shep. Here we had lunch, left our backpacks and walked to Everest Base Camp: here I had a great feeling of reverence, both for the mountain and for all the great expeditions that started from here. Honestly, I still have the feeling of respect for those great climbers who slept there waiting to climb the highest mountain in the world. We went back to sleep in Gorak Shep.
